JEEVAN PRABHAT-CHILDREN: It has been a hectic month due to the reopening of the

schools. We had to get admissions for the children then purchase their school

Uniforms, School Shoes, books etc. The children have once again settled into

their new routine after enjoying a two month vacation. Some new children have

also joined "Jeevan Prabhat" this month and we now have a total of 137 kids

with us. The children are cared for and reared without any distinction of caste

& creed and totally free of cost.

Visit: Former Union Labour Minister Shri Saheb Sing Verma visited the children

of "Jeevan Prabhat" on June 21, 2004. He was on a visit to Dudhai the village

which he has rebuilt after the devastating earthquake of 26th January 2001.

He said that it was his long pending desire to meet the children but being

unable to find time from his official responsibilities he had found it

difficult to meet them. Now that he is free from his official duties and as he

was on a visit to Kutch so he found time from his schedule and came all the way

to Gandhidham to meet the children. He also visited the "Jeevan Prabhat"

construction site.

Seth Shri Kanaksinh Megji Asher of Mundra at present in Muscat visited the

children this month. He is a regular donor and a well wisher of the children.

It may be recalled that Sethji had donated Rs. 27 Lacs for the construction of

the school at Mundra. Sethji’s son Shri Kuldeep Asherji also visited the

children of "Jeevan Prabhat". He spent some time with the children.
