Guest guest
VEDIC PLANETARIUM IN PERU by Eliseo Franco The first Vedic Planetarium was opened in Lima Peru. http://www.vina.cc/stories/MISSION/2004/6/planetarium.html Situated next to the beach of the Pacific Ocean the planetarium is drawing much attention from the Peruvian press and public. The 20 dome complex has the seven main temples of Vrindavan incorporated. There is also a journey following the path of Gopa Kumar in the Brihad Bhagavatamrita from his place in Prayag all the way to meet with Lord Krishna. On the way he passes through the different planetary systems and meets with all destinations which the soul may achieve. Full of yantras and paintings the visitors experience a spiritual journey. Around the Vedic Planetarium we find many projects to accommodate the visitors: A vegetarian restaurant, rooms to stay or tents. Two yoga monasteries, one for men and one for woman. The organic farm supplies all with healthy products. There is a center of the Harmony School for Conscious Art with a gallery and a production place including a graphic press. Opened in the presence of local authorities and sannyasis from all over the world, the function was full of joy. A big march was held in Lima inviting all people to join the happy celebration. The project was offered to Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada who had envisioned a Vedic planetarium as part of his gift to the world. It is the perfect place to visit if you want to visit Peru or want to spend some days or weeks in the spiritual atmosphere of a Yoga monastery.
