It appears to have very recently been pre-launched for a great mission that I believe we, as a great peace loving nation, must be proud to support. This site provides representation to all the nations and religions of the world and above all, instead of feeding any pre-planed information, it invites each nation and the followers of each religion to tell about themselves. Further, it invites people from each community to run their own shows on this site as anchorpersons. As announced by the web administration on the site itself, the site will be formally launched jointly by all the members who join this mission site before its global launching ceremony that is going to be held soon. This site offers many Free services like Match and Marry, Careers, an Online Market Place where any one can advertise his new or used merchandize absolutely Free and many more services. In my opinion, this site is absolutely unmatched. It’s an unbelievable forum and a great opportunity to present our nation to the whole world. I wish my country men and women join this forum in maximum numbers and show off at its formal launching ceremony as the largest or at least an outstanding contingent. I also encourage capable people from our country, wherever they might be living, to come forward and run our country’s show on this site as anchorpersons. If you are referring to India, I think that this website's introduction to India would require considerable change. It starts out by saying: "The Indus Valley civilization, one of the oldest in the world, goes back at least 5,000 years. Aryan tribes from the northwest invaded about 1500 B.C.; their merger with the earlier inhabitants created classical Indian culture. Arab incursions starting in the 8th century and Turkish in 12th were followed by European traders beginning in the late 15th century.... I thought it was already settled that the Aryan invasion theory is nothing but a myth of the European colonialists, and propagated for convenience by later Indologist. "By the 19th century, Britain had assumed political control of virtually all Indian lands. Nonviolent resistance to British colonialism under Mohandas GANDHI and Jawaharlal NEHRU led to independence in 1947......" Nonresistent movement led by Gandhi AND NEHRU? Since when did Nehru figure into the picture, next to Gandhi, or in this case, along with him, as the main driving force of India's nonresistent movement? While I applaud every new effort to obtain universal peace and bring the world closer, I am wary of new websites that spring up almost everyday that refuse to update their background information on India (and I'm sure on other old civilizations) to take into account the emerging evidences that refute outdated, nonscientific views on the civilization; either because, in a hurry to start a new website, the founder(s) doesn't bother to research and verify backgrounds of countries before posting, but merely copies for convenience what is already found in old history books; or has an agenda to propagate biased political views (of giving prominence to Nehru in the nonresistent movement) or outdated historical views (the ARYAN invasion theory) in a new packaging. While one can't change many older websites or encyclopaedia's versions of India's history, the least we should be able to do is to set the record straight about India's history among the newer websites and publications.
