My letter to Telegraph UK Re:Anti-Sonia as racism

Hi, In regards to Indians being labelled racists Re:Sonia.I

completely disagree with this label. If India has not had a history

of Colonialism and a long freedom struggle for home rule perhaps you

could attempt to call it a racist issue.

Even without this traumatic history india has had at the hands of

foriegn rulers, its only naturally for a billion people to find at

least one native born to hold the reins of power.

Applying your standard of racism would make all a racist just

becasue they have a preferance as to who they will marry. It is as

simple as that. People have preferances and comfort levels. It is a

basic human right that should be respected.
