Lieutenant General K S Jamval of the Indian Army visited the children on 29th April and the officers of the regiment posted at Gandhidham donated new clothes and their one days ration for the children of "Jeevan Prabhat". These officers have been regularly helping the children of "Jeevan Prabhat" in many ways. Speaking on the occasion the Hon’ble General said that he was happy to note that these children are being reared to become patriotic citizens of Mother India and has promised that he will give all possible help in the rearing of these children. The Hon’ble General has also extended his hearty invitation to the children to be his guests at any army campus on the border and view the life of the army at close quarters. Childrens Personality Development Camps for the city children: The first camp in a series of four camps was organized and successfully conducted from the 21st to 27th of April. There were 50 students in the batch and there was so much rush for the seats that we had to divert the remaining students to the next 3 camps. The camp timing was 9am to 7pm and the children did not mind these long hours as they were taught many interesting and useful things. They were given discourses on wide range of subjects like Oil conservation, Maintaining Health during different seasons, Vedic mathematics, Road safety, Public speaking, Memory improvement, Yoga, Meditation, Karate, etc., Dr. Harani gave a slide show presentation showing the ill effects of Tobacco consumption. Every day there used to be a recap session where the children were given prizes according to their performance. The prize for the best cadet was given to Manasvi Arya and Miss. Roshni Yadav. JEEVAN PRABHAT-CHILDREN: After finishing their annual exams the children are now relaxing and enjoying themselves. Some of them are made to take part in the children’s personality development camp so that they can interact with the other city children and learn something new from them. The children are cared for and reared without any distinction of caste & creed and totally free of cost. JEEVAN PRABHAT-PROGRESS OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE COMPLEX: The IDRF-Boys’ wing has been completed and the Girls’ wing being funded from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund is also complete.
