The President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, in his message on

the occasion of Buddha Purnima which is being observed tomorrow, has

said: -

 

"On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, I extend my greetings

and good wishes to all my fellow citizens.

 

Lord Buddha'######### of eternal peace and non-violence is even more

relevant in today's world where in many places intolerance and

violence still rule the hearts and minds of people. Let us turn to

the Eightfold Path shown by the enlightened one and spread the

message of care and compassion throughout society, especially to

those who are in need of help and love."
