Can you Sponsor one of these Earthquake Affected Children?

 

Namaste! As your good self is aware 26th January 2001, India’s 52nd Republic

day dawned bright & clear, but precisely at 8.46 am it turned into the blackest

day of the history as a devastating earthquake shook the very foundation of the

whole Gujarat state and in the process rendered thousands homeless and

thousands dead, many of them widows and orphans.

 

We started an orphanage for these children and have aptly named it "Jeevan

Prabhat" for as the name signifies it is really a new dawn in the lives of

these earthquake orphans and widows. At present we have 121 children and 8

widows under our care. We wish to state that our motto and service is towards

building the future of children and widows as of our own family members without

distinction of cast & creed & totally free of cost. Had we not taken these

children under our fold then there was all the chance of them becoming

anti-social aliments as they had no one to look after them or guide them with

regards to what is right and what is wrong.

 

People have built stone & metallic monuments, but we are building the lives of

these live monuments in the memory of the earthquake of 26th January 2001.

 

We at Arya Samaj Gandhidham are just the Guardians of these children and now you

the society members are their real parents. We wish that you all join hands with

us in the rearing of these children. Our cost of rearing one child is about Rs.

24000/- ($ 500/-) per annum. This includes all the basic requirements like good

Nutritious food with milk, Fruits, butter, ghee and other nutritional

supplements, clothes, education, medical etc.

 

It is our humble request to you all noble persons to contribute this nominal

amount for one child each year for the child’s better care and get the

satisfaction of making some child’s life.
