Urgent Appeal: 500 Vedic Pandits Needed Immediately for the USA

On November 19, Maharishi made it clear that we need to act immediately to avert

the destructive policies of governments around the world.

 

Maharishi said: "We do not know if peace will be there tomorrow. We do not know

what news will come. If something is possible to do for peace tomorrow, then do

it today. If it is possible to do it today, then do it now. The world has to be

heaven. Our goal is heaven on earth."

 

A permanent group of 8000 Yogic Flying Vedic Pandits in North America will

create this peaceful influence for the world now. The first phase is to bring

500 Vedic Pandits to Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, immediately.

 

The Pandits Are Ready to Come

 

These Vedic Pandits performing Maharishi Transcendental Meditation and the

TM-Sidhi Program, including Yogic Flying, along with Maharishi Vedic Recitation,

will create a powerful influence of harmony and positivity throughout society,

forming the basis of peace in the nation. The Vedic Pandits are trained and

ready to come, and obtaining visas will not be a problem.

 

Construction Has Begun

 

To date, 202 acres of land have been purchased, and the infrastructure of roads

and utilities is being put in. Cost-effective modular home plans, based on

Maharishi Vedic Architectural principles, have been developed. These homes,

along with the meeting and dining halls, can be constructed in less than two

months.

 

It is urgent that we move forward with the construction immediately because of

the winter weather.

 

All that remains is to raise the funds necessary to support the group. At a cost

of $450 per month to support each Vedic Pandit, a total of $5.85 million is

required to cover the first two years plus airfare. After that, it is

anticipated that the profits from various business ventures will maintain the

group.

 

As of January 20th, 1500 individuals and organizations have donated or pledged

over $3.8 million to support 330 Vedic Pandits for 26 months. Furthermore, one

major donor has agreed to provide funds to support the final 44 pandits. This

means we only need to secure donations and pledges for 126 more pandits-- we're

75% of the way to the goal!
