As our Prime Minister Vajpayee builds bonds with ASEAN leaders in Bali and

attempts to renew India's historic relations with the countries of South-East

Asia I thought it might be a good idea for us to take an etour of the island.

 

Visit 'Besakih' the mother temple of Bali, Goa Gajah is a 11th century temple

that has a image of Lord Ganesha, Sanuk Iron Pillar has inscriptions in

Sanskrit that are nearly 1,000 years old, Hindu cremation ceremony, Kecak -

monkey dance where Sita, wife of Shri Ram is surrounded by dancers who keep

mutterring Chak-Chak in unison. Kecak dance is from the Ramayan.
