Guest guest
Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare!> Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare !">Story behind Ramayana - Once Valmiki was walking through the forest and sawdoves romantically involved with each other. As the sage was busy enjoyingthat sight a arrow passed him and struck the male dove. V saw the hunter andcalled him a wretch but immediately as a saint felt he should not havespoken like that. Then a voice from the sky said " O, V, do not bedistressed. Yours words are poetic. This is the right time for you to writethe story of the Ramayana. V wrote the entire R as the narration of thecrying female dove to him."Valmiki used the Ramayan to express the pure Advaita philosophy, thecontents of the Upanishads. Ram is an Avatar of Lord Vishnu and LR projectsthe Indian ideals of life. Rama is the perfect man, Sita the perfect wifeand Lakhsman the perfect brother. There are many versions of the R. The Hindi version is written by Tulsidas, the Malayalam one by Thuncheth Ezuthachan. The original text was inSanskrit.RAMA means " SARVESHU RAMANTE ITI RAMAH " that means which revels ineveryone of us, the pure light of Consciousness, the Atman, the self.Ramchandra Period ( 2350-1950 B.C. ) - The story of LR is important as itbrings South India into view for the first time. While in exile LR visitedvarious places, one of them being a place called Janasthana, a colony of theRakshasas situated south to the middle of the Godavri. The Rakhasasill-treated the Munis and LR espoused their cause and killed a number ofRakhasas. In order to seek revenge, Ravana decided to abduct Sita away. Inthe Jain version of the Ramayan, it is Lakhsman and not LR who killedRavana. Since the sect propagates non-violence, it was unacceptable to haveLR indulging in violent acts. Some people have asked for Evidence that LR ever existed ? My answer to thatis another ?. Does any one of us have proof that we are a product of ourparents love, ie their children ? In matters of faith, evidence has nomeaning.> ----------> ---->> " > The symbolic meaning of Sita Vivaha is as follows.>> Lord Ramachandra has broken the bow ie., Bava Chap.> In Ramayan u can see that Rama is supreme and> knowledge is also supreme. Sita is Bhakti or Mukti.> The sita vivaha is knowledge weds bhakti because mere> knowledge is not enough one should have also bhakti.> So what is the thing required for marriage is breaking> of Bhava Chap. Bhava means samasaric bondages the> person who breaks the bondages is alone eligible for> real bhakti or knowledge. How did rama break the bow> is a question. There were egoistic raja also but only> rama could break the reason is that one who is having> guru bhakti can break the bondages. When everybody> were trying it could not break when rama stood and> bowed before viswamitra and got his blessings and he> could break it.>>> In the same way sita haran is also like that only how> I am explaining it below:>> When bhakti goes behind golden deer, what will happen> sita haran will happen. See in our life also when we> are doing bhakti and when our mind goes behind some> articles the dasanan (ie., 10 indriya will capture us)> and will take to lanka(bhoga nagari) and mother sita> here tell us how to live in Bhoga nagari. What is> this bhoga nagari it is nothing but earth so the> teaching for us here is to in the earth we should not> get ourself attached to material things and only sita> was thinking of that rama who has gone behind golden> deer for herself. So we should also in the earth> always think of god and nothing other than it is the> symbolic teaching.>> You can see one thing in this ramayan that Lakshman> went behind that sita who was following Rama so he was> always happy but Ravana went behind that sita who was> behind golden deer that is why Ravana was weak . That> means if we go behind the devotees we will be happy> and if we go behind that people who are in material> things we will perish.>>
