Dear Editor,

Yr article presented an extremely skewed

version of India’s political landscape.

The racist and inhumane attitude is clear.

The injustice and inhumanity becomes obvious

when the Islamic extremism that has killed

over 70,000 Indian people is considered less

dangerous to India than a brand of Hinduism

that’s responsible for breaking down an unused mosque.

 

Though, India has been a nuclear power since

1974, the Western and Islamic media continues

to play up the Hindu Nuclear militant angle.

India has an ongoing nuclear program, begun

under Indira Gandhi, an avowed secularist and

maintained under the leadership of a Muslim

scientist, India’s current President. It has

everything to do with the strategic necessities

of a nation under constant military assault,

and nothing to do with the personal religion of

its citizens. Hinduism is the world’s most ancient,

largest and ongoing cultural phenomenon. Clearly

Western Civilization’s global domination is

feeling threatened by the sudden rise of this

indigenous global power.

 

The 2oo year old American civilization is in

a state of chaos and crisis. Yet after 5000

years, Hindu India is still thriving. A

majority of Hindus realize the mistake

of ignoring Krishna’s words that caste/

/Varna is decided by qualification and

character and not by birth. That is the

true system and thus once again millions

of Dalits, labeled untouchables by the

British, are enjoying the full dynamism

of their native traditional Hindu culture.
