Pre-Lord Caitanya Disciplic Succession

The basis of disciplic succession was that after the initiator guru’s physical

disappearance, a particular disciple became initiator guru or prominent

disciples became gurus, under whom all the other disciples / unchosen guru

disciples or those not wanting to become gurus or for any reason did not become

functioning gurus, became subordinate in the hierarchy directly or indirectly.

This was the general culture and convention, though there are exceptions. So

there were limitations with culture/convention model in that only a few became

gurus. So there were limitations.

Lord Caitanya Disciplic Succession

The appearance 500 years ago of Lord Caitanya, an incarnation of Godhead Krishna

in the mood of His consort Srimati Radharani changed the culture and convention

of the disciplic succession. Everyone, was ordered by Lord Caitanya to become

guru based on the Amara Ajnaya Verse. This was commencement of Gaudiya

Vaishnavism culture, led by Lord Krishna, mass distribution of Bhakti Yoga,

Sankirtan Movement and the fervent chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra. In

comparison to the pre-Lord Caitanya time, there was now the mass call for

Guruization for everyone. This was revolutionary.

Disciplic Succession & Amara Ajnaya Verse

Lord Caitanya onwards the disciplic succession traditional conventions and

culture before Lord Caitanya remained same to the onlooker and observer.

However there was a revolution based on the Amara Ajnaya Verse. The Amara

Ajnaya Verse came after the disciplic succession culture. Amara Ajnaya Verse is

not to be confused with the already established disciplic succession.

There was a strategy by the Seers or Gurus in disciplic succession after Lord

Caitanya, to mix the disciplic succession convention and culture with the Amara

Ajnaya Verse. Amara Ajnaya Verse is thus a very important order because it is

from the founder of Gaudiya Vaishnavism culture, an incarnation of Krishna in

the mood of Srimati Radharani in form of a devotee, Lord Caitanya. Thus the

Acharyas and gurus associated and incorporated the Amara Ajnaya Verse with

their disciplic succession teachings because it was a divine-based plan and

this would be the signal of their Order after their physical disappearance. The

word ‘ritvik’ and similar descriptions being the evidence that would say to

disciples that after the physical disappearance of the guru, the guru would

remain a not-physically present guru without a successor temporarily or

permanently.

Some disciples would not be able to notice this mixture of the disciplic

succession culture and the Amara Ajnaya Verse. Some disciples being part of

Krishna’s plan or through private discussions with their Acharya or thinking

would be able to understand the Order. However there would be a demonic class

of disciples that could tend to become hostile privately and secretly when they

came to know the actual Order because they would not be able to become pre-Lord

Caitanya gurus but officiating gurus. These class of disciples could cleverly

become senior disciples holding positions of Secretary to the Acharyas. So

there emerged the pre-Lord Caitanya disciplic succession vs. Amara Ajnaya Verse

confrontation by demonic disciples against their respective bona fide Acharyas

and gurus and their Orders, namely, with Acharya Srila Bhaktisiddhanta (Srila

Prabhupada’s guru) in c. 1936 who Ordered a temporary ‘ritvik’ system and

Acharya Srila Prabhupada in c. 1977 who requested a permanent ‘ritvik’ system.

On both these occasions it has been reported and there is evidence available

that both Srila Bhaktisiddhanta and Srila Prabhupada were poisoned by their

Secretaries and senior demonic disciples so that the officiating guru Order or

‘ritvik’ Order would become silenced in history and they would become pre-Lord

Caitanya gurus with earnings and influence that they would never be able to

have if they were officiating gurus because then they would be held accountable

to their fellow Godbrothers.

So this is the understanding that false, unauthorized and inauthentic gurus, who

are the direct or indirect poisoners of their gurus will not let you understand.

This obviously does not help your sadhana or humanity.

......One of the tactics that the demonic class of disciples would use when

challenged with providing evidence of their succession would be to say that

Amara Ajnaya Verse Order of the Acharya is the traditional disciplic succession

order or to separate the pre-Lord Caitanya disciplic succession culture and

convention from the Lord Caitanya disciplic succession, ignoring the latter

altogether and accepting the former.
