Guest guest
McCartney wedding topped by Indian menu GLASLOUGH, June 11 (AP) As last minute preparations continued for the wedding of Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills, family, friends and celebrities were making their way to a remote Irish castle today for the lavish ceremony, which will reportedly be topped by an Indian-themed vegetarian menu. Media interest reached fever pitch as newspapers speculated about every detail, from the guest list to reports of a sumptuous menu. McCartney's spokesman Geoff Baker confirmed Beatles producer George Martin and Ringo Starr would be among the 300 guests. Television and newspaper reports said former US President Bill Clinton, Eric Clapton, Sir Elton John and Pink Floyd frontman David Gilmour were also on the guest list. Mr Baker confirmed the menu would be strictly vegetarian. "This is being held by one of the world's most famous vegetarians," he said of McCartney, whose late wife Linda was an animal rights crusader and launched her own brand of vegetarian health food. 59-year-old McCartney and 34-year-old Mills were to be married by a local priest at the Protestant Church of Ireland St Salvator's chapel, in the estate. The Sun reported that covered walkways draped with silk link the church, castle and marquees, decorated with lilies, roses, tulips and roses from Holland. Television news showed footage shot from a helicopter of a yacht moored to a specially built pier beside the estate's lake, from which, according to reports, the newlyweds will watch an firework display.
