DEAR VEDICULTURE MEMBERS,

HERE IN EUGENE, OREGON I HAVE BEEN FORTUNATE TO BE ABLE TO AIR HINDU/VEDIC TV

SHOWS FOR OVER 3 YEARS. HOWEVER THE CITY MANAGER HAS SUDDENLY DECIDED THAT ALL

FUNDING SHOULD BE STOPPED. SO THIS MONDAY THE CITY COUNCIL IS GOING TO VOTE ON

WETHER OR NOT TO CONTINUE FUNDING.

IF ANY OF YOU FEEL IT IS IMPORTANT TO PRESERVE THIS RARE OPPURTUNITY TO LET

PEOPLE KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT OUR CULTURE, PLEASE EMAIL THE EUGENE CITY

COUNCILLERS. ALL THEIR EMAILS HAVE BEEN PROVIDED IN THE ATTACED MESSAGE.

THESE EMAILS MUST BE SENT OUT AND RECEIVED BY MONDAY MORNING PACIFIC STANDARD

TIME.

THIS MEETING AND VOTE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SECRET AND SUDDEN BUT OUR ALLIES

WITHIN THE GOVERNMENT LEAKED THE INFO. LETS SAVE OREGON'S VEDIC TELEVISION.

Help CTV Restore City Funding: Contact the Eugene City Council Today

Dear CTV Members & Friends,

Community Television needs your help in sending calls, letters and/or

emails of support for our request to be included in next year's City

of Eugene budget.

The City Budget Committee is planning the budget for the next fiscal

year, which starts July 1st. Community Television's current matching

funding from the City expires June 30th and at this point we have

been cut from the budget. Funding from the City is more than a third

of CTV's budget (the County contributes a third and we need to

fundraise a third). Losing City funding would be a very very serious

setback for your only community TV station. You can help.

Our funding was recommended to be cut since the City is looking at

budget shortfall. Councilor Betty Taylor has told the Committee that

she will make a motion to include our funding request in the budget,

however we must show that we have support from our members, viewers

and other friends to help convince the Budget Committee and the City

Council to vote for our funding.

Please contact your City Councilor or the Council as a whole as soon

as possible. The City Council Budget Committee will be meeting next

Monday, April 29th, and may discuss our funding, so your call or

letter in the next few days would be very helpful, even essential.

It can be as easy as the following sample letter. Of course if you

want to include further comments about why you like CTV, that's even

better.

*PHONE the Council at the City Manager's Office, 682-5010.

*EMAIL individual Councilors or all of them with the email address

list below, which includes Mayor Torrey and Kitty Murdoch, the Budget

Committee's Staff.

*WRITE to the Council at Eugene City Council, City Hall, 777 Pearl

St, Eugene OR 97401.
