The Bhagavatam only says that they went in a " Northeastern direction." It is other Puranas that say that they enetered a opening in a Northern ocean, but " Seven Days North of Tibet " would put you there. I corresponded briefly, about a year ago, with a South Indian Ramanuja Brahmin who told the story that way. They study the Vishnu Purana, which Gaudiyas also accept. Remember that the Bhagavat only has 18,000 verses, and the Vishnu Purana has 64,000! And the Vishnu lila stories in the Bhagavat are rather brief, because a huge portion of the Bhagavat's 18,000 verses are dedicated to Vrindavan lila. The Vishnu Purana tells a few more things about those Vishnu Lilas. For example, other puranas state, I think specifically the Vishnu Purana again, that when the Kalki avatar takes birth in Shamballa, the population will be under orders not to venture to the surface, but that the Kalki avatar will violate this order in order to carry out his lila. These details don't appear in the Bhagavat, just a couple of verses are dedicated to the Kalki avatar. I have an essay on all this on my site. Actually, the first two are about Aryan migration from the North in relation to the hollow portion. http://skyboom.com/hollowearthpuranas/index2.html Dharmapada/Dean
