Priya Sriman Sasthryji!

Jai Srimannarayana!

WE are happy for your interest in know the meaning of His

divine names. We are busily engaged in tours and hence we

could not reply you soon.

"Kruthajna" is a very wonderful name of Lord Vishnu,

appears in Sri Vishnu Sahasra nama Sthothram two times,

83 & 536. As you rightly said that the meaning of word

is 'krutham ja:nathi' one who knows the deeds of every

being. He gave somany things to us. right from the Manas,

senses, intelllect, a very beautiful body, somany objects

to enjoy, people to explain things to us and so on. Inspite

of all these things, human beings are not at all thinking

of God and living in thier own, ignoring Lord Narayana.

Then He comes in different incarnations. If at all a soul

did something positively, God thinks that it is a great help

to Him and remembers that deed. Then He gives a lot of

benifits to that soul. Kuchela, for example, went to Lord

Krishna, offered two handful of dried rice. Kuchela went for

his own sake. But did not felt like asking, after seeing

the honour he received. Krishna sent him back home after

honoring. When Kuchela was in need, he came to Him, not

going to dummy souls, though he did not ask, his mind was

forcing to ask. Knowing this fact Lord Krishna carried all

the material personally (may be) delivered them at Kuchela's

home. Kuchela did for personal sake. He, the Lord remembered

and helped him. Drowpathi chanted once the name of Lord, when

she was in trouble. Remembering that Lord helped her and her

husbands also a great deal and even then He did not get

satisfied. He knows every little deeds also, done by the

devotees and rememberss them well. THis is not greatfulness.

This is out of overwhelming compassion.

> IN VISHNU SAHASRA NAAMAM AS "ONE WHO IS GRATEFUL".

> I BELIEVE "KRITA" MEANS "THAT WHAT IS DONE OR

> I THINK SHREE MAHA VISHNU AS THE ONE WHO

> KNOWS WHAT IS HAPPENING AROUND HIM AND ONE

> WHO KNOWS WHAT WE ARE DOING AND KRITAJNA

> HERE DOES NOT MEAN VISHNU AS BEING GRATEFUL.

> I SHALL BE GRATEFUL TO LEARN THE TRUE

> MEANING FROM YOU, AS YOU INITIATED ME INTO

> SHREE VISHNU SAHASRA NAAMAM IN GUNTUR IN THAT

> MAIDAANAM ALONG WITH LAKHS OF PEOPLE

> LIKE ME.

> NAMASKAARAMS.
