Guest guest
Dear Friends, I dont understand why some of us always refer to the Devas as the Demigods. That is just not right - moreover, it sound so debasing. After all, you will NEVER find in the scriptures something similar as Ardhadeva, Half-deva or Demigod or so. They are Devas - the shining ones - always serving the Supreme. Just call them what they are - Devas. With best wishes, Shasa A. Guest guest
Dear Shasha, No true Sri Vaishnava would intentionally degrade another fellow Jeevathma. (whether it is a human being or a Deva for that matter). But due to sheer ignorance, some people do see the Paramathma Sriman Narayana as being equal to other devas. (though the scriptures and our preceptors have again and again reiterated that the only deva capable of giving 'Moksha - Salvation' is the Para Devatha - Sriman Narayana; and none else). Though I am not justifying nor am I against the usage of the term 'DemiGods', I think it becomes essential sometimes to put things in strong words to reiterate the truth in people's minds (about the supremacy of Sriman Narayana) Apologies for any unintended mistakes.
