Guest guest
Priya Sriman Abburaju & Meenakshigaru! Jai Srimannarayana! Your question is good. In most of the occassions, so many people and priests also in the temples, using these 'swa:ha's while offering food to God in the temples, ie. Naive:dyam. Here the basic rule is that these 'pr:na: etc, swa:ha:s' are not permitted. It has to be chanted only with human beings. While offering naive:dyam to the dieties in the temples, we need to chant "de:vasyatwa:...." manthra. and some other slo;kas are also there. But not the Pra:na, apa:na, vya:na, uda:na & sama:na etc swa:ha:ka:ras. They are used only to human beings, for they depend on these Panchavidha (5 fold air)va:yus. For human being the food is offered to each of these Va:yu:s for their survival and to show the gratitude to those Va:yus. =chinnajeeyar=
