Guest guest
Babaji, Is Sadhana only the way to attain moksha ? I have this query since I heard the below true story some time back .. A doctor from chennai, who truly believed in God, used to treat all his patients without any discrimination and continuously serve for the society. He used to be available for his patients any time in the day ..or any day in the week. But being a devotee of God he always had guilt feeling in his mind that he is not able to do puja or devote much time to perform his religious activities or visit pilgrimages because of his professional duties.. After a long planning he took a break and went to visit Shri Raghvendra Swami's shrine at Mantrayalam, whom he believed the most. He asked his Shri Raghvendra Swami to forgive him for not coming for so long and not performing his religious activities all these years. That day Shri Raghvendra Swami came in his dream and directed him to go back to work the very next day..since all his patients are waiting for him, and he need not have to worry , because he is already doing his seva by serving the society.. later he left back to his work to continue treating his patients .. regards shirish Baba ji <beirut_ka_baba wrote:

I have this query since I heard the below true story some time back .. My Dear, sadhna has many a meanings many ways. doing ones duty honestly and sincerely is a sadhna....helping the poor also a sadhna...fighting for the right is a sadhna.....donating your money or labour for the welfare is a sadhna.... These sadhnas clear us of our negative vrittis and take our self to higher grounds. But these small sadhnas alone are not capable of getting us Moksha....they may purify us, they may make us prepared for the big leap....and if fact anyone who has not yet become a good guy, will never become a good sadhaka. For merging in the Truth..for knowing the god, intense sadhna of some sort is required (like Japa, Rajyoga or Tantra. Once a yogi who had spent 25 years in deep sadhna...woke up from his samadhi and suddenly he was disturbed by a crow crying on the tree...he angrily scolded him- Hey you useless bird...why disturbing me....may you die soon !! and Lo the bird fell down dead !!! the yogi was full with pride...then he went to the village and asked for alms from a house The lady of the house said-Maharaj wait for some time.. and after much time when nobody came out...the yogi was angry...he said in a loud voice- You want to give me alms or .... The lady of the house came out and said," What or...i am not a crow who will die on your command" The yogi was stunned...how this lady knew abt his powers.. He asked her Mother- I got these powers after 25 yrs of yoga...but u seem to be a simple household lady...which sadhna you did that u got so much power as to know about me ?? The lady said,"Son i do not do any special sadhna... I am a devoted wife...a loving mother....no guest goes from my house hungry... i love younger and respect elders....and yes in the evening I just thank God for whatever he has given to me....i dont know what has given me the power of knowing all" The young ascetic was astonished....he did not know what to say with love baba
