Temples and pilgrimage centers play an important role in the life of

common man and sadhakas both.

Temples are of two types. One is Sidhha Pithha, a temple which had

a direct contact with the divinity. Like Jawalaji temple where

Sati's tongue fell, like Jakhu Hanuman temple, where Lord Hanuman

was brought down by a rishi...and similar other temples. These

siddhha pithhas do have a vortex of live positive energies, due to

the divine touch. If you are a little progressed in Sadhna, you can

feel the holy vibrations in these siddhha pithhas. A visit to such

temples enhances our positive energy levels and help us in our

progress towards Truth.

The other Temples are which are made by human being out of

devotion. Such temples over the years, become a source of holy

vibrations due to continuous worship...and holy thoughts spread by

devotees. If you go such a holy vibration place with a disturbed

mind...you will feel mind cooling down.

Similarly the pilgrimage places do have a value. Besides the

benefits as received in both type of temples, pilgrimage offers

another strange effect on our psyche.

The moment we plan for a pilgrimage, our mind starts thinking of the

place, and thus we generate spiritual and holy energies.

The more troubles pains and sufferings we get during a pilgrimage,

the more our bad Karmas are nullified. The pain and sufferings we

get during a pilgrimage, kill the future pains and sufferings, whic

are about to come...may be in a more fierce way!

Our Rishis knew this secret and hence they built most of the

pilgrimage places in difficult terrain....like high hills.

When I was on my pilgrimage to Kedar Nath...a very difficult hike

from 1100 meters to 3200 meters in 14 Kms stretch full of problem

and difficulties...I was tired in the first stretch and sat on a

stone cursing nobody and saying hye-hye with pain and fatigue. An

illiterate co-traveller...a villager from Rajasthan perhaps advised

me," Sir do not curse...or do not moan in pain....when u feel pain

or fatigue...just say Om Nama Shivaye and go on! I used the trick

and surprisingly got extra energy to easily cover the tiring hike.

Now after coming to understand spirituality a bit...i wonder how

such a big truth...was told by an illiterate villager ? Perhaps

that z the spirit of India....spirituality engraved deep into the

psyche of every indian....educated or uneducated.

Love

Baba
