Guest guest
Remember when Krishna's poor friend Sudama visited him with a handful of rice??Krishna was so touched with the gesture that he blessed him with enough riches to last many lifetimes. Sudama may have left the building, but Krishna is still around the corner. International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) have started a noble task to put underprivileged children where they belong –in schools. ISKCON is presently distributing 40,000 meals a day to the poor government school children. Secular enough, they have included many muslim schools too in the list The school authorities have accepted a shart rise in attendance of children, mainly due to this food programme. The food is not only delicious, it is nutritious too. Their 5 star standards kitchen is packing food with latest machines and with utmost cleanliness. Encouraged with the results, Hare Krishna wallahs are spreading this programme to Mumbai, Bangalore and Jaipur. Guest guest
ISCON has been known for the scandals on one side and some very very noble seva programs on the other. I'm glad they have joined the many other organizations in helping children in India. It is the Sikh Gurudwaras and the ISKON temples here that have the most generous programs of helping others in need. Thank you for that piece of information. _/\_ Tat twam asi Uma , "Baba ji" <beirut_ka_baba wrote: > > International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) have > started a noble task to put underprivileged children where they > belong –in schools.
