Sri Yantra - a great Mystery

Hari Om and Happy Deepawali to everyone,

I m making a research into Sri Yantra. This Yantra itself seems to be

a great mystery and pretty complicated but there are also many

different opinions about the deity it represents and its mantra. So

far I have come across some websites that claim that the Yantra is

dedicated to Godess Laxmi. Other claim it generally represents shakti

and some well known authors like Harishi Yohari and Robert Svoboda

claim in their books that the Godess associated with it is Tripura

Sundari, also known by the names Sri Vidya, Sundari, Laleeta, Sontasi,

Bala. This is the third of the ten Mahavidyas, the ten different

aspects of Shakti, the divine Mother. Strangely the third mahavidya

seems to have a different yantra than the sri Yantra. Impressive is

also the fact that some use the sri yantra with 5 yoni and 4 shiva

triangles whereas others sketch it with 4 yoni and 5 shiva triangles.

I suppose this changes the constructive or destructive nature of the

yantra.

Does anyone know any further information on this subject and does

anyone know the mantra associated with Sri Yantra? If you dont wish to

reply here you may email me at om_agni_devi .

This differences occur due to the different line of worship in Sri

Vidya, if you have 5 up and 4 down and if you turn it upside down you

get the other Sri yantra as you are saying.ie. 5 down and 4 up which

is other method of worship of Sri Vidya. Search for Sri Vidya to know

which worship which Sri yantra exactly I have no idea, what is the

philosophy behind it.

Though i am ignorant of exact detail, just heard it somewhere.
