Guest guest
Namaste all. _/\_ Happy celebrations of Diwali to Divine lovers. I'd like to share my translation of a 'pada' from 'Prema Rasa Madira' composed by Jagadguru Sri Kripaluji Maharaj for meditation on the auspicious occasion of 'Deepavali'. gayI lakhi, dIpAvali balihAr... jaga-maga jaga-maga jagamagAta giri govardhana rijhavAr.. lakhi jAkI bAmkI jhAmkI kahan, davun vaikuNThahun vAr.. ita lalitAdi alina sanga viharati, alabelI sarkAr.. uta madhumangalAdi sanga krIData, nAgara nanda kumAr.. nija-nija sAj saji dovu dala cala, mAnasi-ganga majhAr.. ika taTa naTakhaTa-dala, ika taTa dala rAjata bhAnudulAr.. dovu dala nija-nija kanaka dIpakana, DAryo jala majhadhAr.. dovu kara anjurina jala halakorata, dIpana chavidAr.. jhala-malAta dovu dala dIpAvali, hila-mila bhaye eka sAr.. lakhi 'kRpAlu' kaha puni puni 'jaya ho! dIpAvali zRGgAr!' The Rasik Saint who is visualizing the auspicious celebration of 'Dipavali' in the Divine abode giving a live description of the 'lila-pastime' to the devotees, through the words of a Vraja Gopika to her friend: "I am breathless looking at the admirable sight of multiple collections of bright lights today! My life is blessed and made worthy of its existence to witness such a sacred pastime of Divine Couple! The entire area surrounding Mount Govardhana is illuminated by countless lights! The dazzling opulence of spiritual abode, Vaikuntha could be easily abandoned since it is put to shame by the auspicious halos of glowing lamps in this sacred land of Vraja today!! The fascinated groups of enthusiastic playmates of Sri Radha and Sri Krishna have arrived on either shore of the 'Manasi-Ganga' lake which flows around the Govardhana mountain. On one bank of the lake, sweet, innocent Radharani has gathered Her rejoicing girl-friends beginning with Lalita sakhi, all carrying their items of worship and auspicious glowing lamps. On the opposite bank of the lake the mischievous Son of Nanda (Krishna) has collected all His naughty, jubiliating cowherd friends starting with Madhumangala. Of course, they too have come prepared and brought many, many lighted lamps for celebration. Both excited parties have placed their glowing golden lamps floating over the cool waters of the lake on each side. Everyone is trying to give a gentle push to the floating lights on their side with their palms slowly splashing the waters, setting the lamps in a forward motion. Both anxious crowds on either side of the lake are hilarious watching the thousands of lighted lamps moving ahead to meet the opposite group of glowing lights. Then, at the blessed moment, all the slowly travelling illuminated lamps over the lake 'Manasi Ganga' from both directions have united themselves together with the rest of the floating lights to form an unimaginable scene of gorgeous decoration with counless twinkling lights spreading over entire surface of the lake!!" In the concluding verse the Poet-Saint Kripaluji adds: Fascinated by this unusual sight of glittering ornamentation, all the over-joyed Gopis and Gopas have started to exclaim, repeatedly: "All glories to the blissful scene of brilliant decoration of 'Depavali' lights! All glories to enchanting Queen Radhika!! All glories to Divine Beloved Sri Krishna" Jaya Sri Radhey! http://www.jkp.org/literature/leela_madhur...huri%20Pads.pdf
