Guest guest
So the other day i was walking by the side of Ganges. I was feeling hungry and suddenly I saw Swami Ghasitanandji coming towards me. He held my hand and said OK i will get you some free meal today...let us go to Paramdham ashram, where they have free offering of tasty meals daily. so he dragged me to the ashram. The ashram was very well managed. Guruji showed me the fans. Each blade had the name of donor written in bright red color. Guruji pointed ," See this fan was donated by four brothers, but a fan has only three blades so there must have been a fight for the fourth name...so the fourth name is printed on the motor....and see these benches, all of them having brightly painted with names of the donors....it seems the donors are less interested in giving comforts to the people and more interested in publicising themselves. I asked," Why so guruji? and what is harm in it?" Guruji," See the charity as people mean is giving something to tell others and boast about their charity, to ashrams or temples. The real charity is where we help the needy, taking him as our own part...A charity done with publicity or boasting...or taking the helped person as lower, or expecting him to give something in return, be it blessings even, is not a charity....this charity has no post effects and is certainly not for a sadhaka. Then we sat in que for eating. The menu was great...Daal with Pure Desi ghee, curry and tasty dessert too. Guruji asked the attendent why such varied menu today. The attendent told that that days meals were donated by a businessman of Delhi hence the variety and taste. I said," Guruji this business, seems to be doing real charity...feeding so many people and not even telling his name." Guruji," You are very impatient Baba..just see next" When we finished meals, and started towards the gate...we had to stand in que...and on reaching the gate we found the businessman standing there with his wife and children and asking each one," Maharaj was the meal tasty? God has given us money so we thought why not feed the hungry...please bless us" That seemed very humble" I murmur.. Nah"Guruji said....this is his Ahankaar which is taking shape of humbleness....He wants to tell all of us that it is he who provided us with meals...and not the ashram. So we should be grateful to me. And we are grateful to him and he gets the good fruits for his charity by making his ego inflated and ours deflated....I am sure he is not going to get anyother fruit of this Karma. love baba
