The cause and thinker of the world,

She, whose form is that of the Shabdbrahm

and whose substance is Bliss!

 

Thou art the primordial One,

Mother of countless creatures,

Creatix of the bodies of the lotus-born Vishun-shiva

Who creates, preserves and destroyes the worlds..

Although you are the primordial cause of the world,

Yet art thou ever youthful

 

Although thou art the daughter of the Mountain-king

yet art thou full of tenderness

Although thou art full of tenderness

Although thou art the Mother of Vedas

Yet they cannot describe Thee

Although men must meditate upon thee

Yet cannot their mind comprehend thee

 

"Sharirardha-Shambho"...... Adi shakti is not a separate god or

goddess. She is Brahm in action...She is Krishna in His Leela.

Brahm is indifferent...He does not take part in the Leela...He simply

enjoys the creation of his own Shakti, which is called Gayatri Mata,

the Mother of Vedas.

 

"Gayantaram Trayate Itee Gayatri"....The Shakti which gives Moksha to

the singer of her Glories is called Gayatri. Gayatri is the Brahm

himself in action with a desire to manifest as Universe. This

Gayatri Shakti is the eternal Mother of all Jeeva. She manifests as

Six major manifestations, which help in creating, operating and

destructing the Universe. These six manifestations are :-

 

1 - PARA SHAKTI (also called Durga, Radha, sita,Kali)

 

2 - GYAN - SHAKTI (AKA SHUDDHA- VIDYA TATWA)

 

3 - ICHHA -SHAKTI (AKA MAHA-MAYA)

 

4 - KRIYA-SHAKTI ( AKA PRAKRITI)

 

5 - KUNDALINI-SHAKTI (AKA PARA-SHAKTI)

 

6- MATRIKA-SHAKTI (AKA SHABD BRAHM)

 

These manifestations are the different steps of the manifestation

of the universe. Now we will see in brief, what are these shaktis

and how they work.

 

PARA-SHAKTI : This Shakti is the Moola (root) of all shaktis. she is

in fact Braham in His form as Light and Bliss.

 

GYAN-SHAKTI : This shakti is true knowledge, hence is the basis of

all Vidyas. This has two forms viz (a) Connecting with 3 gunas it

converts into Manas, Chitta, Buddhi and ahankar(b) transcending the

gunas this becomes pure Gyana and thus gives Tele-vision,intuition

and other siddhis.

 

Ichha-Shakti : This is not the desire of the Brahm but the desire of

the Gayatri. This shakti travels in the Nadis of the bodies and

carry msgs from mind to the limbs. If affected by Raj-Tam, it

creates pains and sufferings and with Sat it enhances pleasure and

joy. All the good and bad deeds in the universe are performed by her.

 

KRIYA-SHAKTI: She is the helper shakti of Ichha. She is mainly

responsible for giving fruits for the deeds, good or bad. When Sat

guna is increased in her, she forces a person to do good deeds for

the benefit and welfare of the society. All the siddhis of the yogis

are given by this shakti.

 

KUNDALINI-SHAKTI: Kunidalini shakti has two forms Universal

Kundalini and individual Kundalini. In the Universal form, she is

manifested as Prana or Life-force. All energies in the universe (like

gravitation, electricity,radiation heat light etc) are the

manifestation of universal kundalini. She performs all the movement

of different energies in the universe and also arranges the life of

different lower species, except human. In human, this shakti

condenses from the Universe and sits in the Muladhara Chakra,

sleeping, thus giving ample will and decision making power to human,

making them more powerful than animals and other lower forms.

 

In individual form, in the human she incites the actions of the

vrittis, and mind. She carries our Linga (sukshma) sharira from one

loka to other, after death. She is responsible for our re-birth too.

 

When fully awakened in us, this shakti eats up all Vikaras

(negavitiy) of the human body like anger, lust, desire,hatered etc.

But till the body is pure it never awakens fully (its a catch 22

situation )

 

If Anthakarana is impure, and Kundalini releases its energies,

those energies are misused by people in spreading destruction and

hatered like hitler or terrorists.

 

Kundalini shakti is the most important shakti for us, as it is

this Shakti which finally takes us towards Moksha.

 

MATRIKA-SHAKTI : This shakti is responsible for Sounds, words,

songs, ragas and music. All the Mantras, evoke this shakti first.

This shakti forces Ichha and Kriya shaktis to be Satvic. Even

Kundalini Shakti can not awaken if this shakti is not awakened

first. She is also called Shabad-Brahm.

 

When a Sadhaka, with full devotion does japa of a Mantra and when

concentration and Sat-guna increases, this Shakti awakens and Ichha

shakti Kriya shakti and Kundalini follow her.

 

All the sounds and forms in the universe are her manifestations.

All Beeja-mantras are her body parts.

 

This Shakti is the most kind of all and if worshipped with love,

she cares for the sadhaka like a Mother and slowly removes his sins

and takes him to Moksha.

 

But if this shakti is used for harming others or to inflate the

ego, the same energy destroys the sadhaka.
