If one contemplates on the relationship between Radha and Krishna, with a Pure Heart, he is likely to go into meditation. Here are some thoughts! The relationship between Rukmani and the Lord is that of Laxmi and Narayana. It is a wedded relationship but without any provision for a divorce. Laxmi (Maya) leads to attachment and bondage, keeping one in an eternal cycle of births and deaths. Laxmi is subordinate to Narayana and draws her power from her Lord. Laxmi is the power of the powerful Lord. Where there is Narayana, there is Laxmi. Laxmi has no independent existence. On the other hand, Radha is Love, Devotion and Bhakti, all in one. Where there is Love and Bhakti for the Lord, Krishna is always there. Love and Bhakti for the Lord leads to freedom from bondage. The relationship between Radha and Krishna is that of "Bhakta (Devotee) and Bhagavan". At the culmination of this Devotion the distinction between the two disappears and that is Moksha. Examples are Meera and many others. Gita ch.18, v.55: "Through that supreme devotion he comes to know Me in reality, and thereby knowing Me in essence he forthwith enters into My Being." Gita ch.9, v.22: "The devotee, however, who loving no one else constantly think of Me, and worship Me in a disinterested spirit, to those ever united in thought with Me, I bring full security and Personally attend to their needs," This is a recipe for the Radha like love for the Lord. "Personally attend to their needs", this is not a mere promise: Lord Krishna drove the chariot of His devotee Arjuna in the Mahabharta war. Lord provided adequate protection to his devotee Panchali (Draupadi) at the time of her dire need. Lord acted as a banker to cash a fake Hundi (promissory note) for his devotee Narsi Mehta. Lord almost parted with Laxmi to help His friend and devotee Sudama, when He was restrained by Rukmani. There are many such examples in the literature, perhaps someone may like to elaborate.
