Wake Up.. Time is Calling You (public programme)

 

With Dadi Gulzar

 

Q. What can the experiences you had with Brahma Baba teach us?

 

A. The experiences I had as a child were amazing and unique. l feel

fortunate to have claimed my inheritance of peace, happiness and purity from

God. My desire is that all of you should experience this. Whenever we

would met Brahma Baba he would tell us that each of us would become a

benefactor for the whole world. When Baba would talk about serving the

world in this way, we would ask him what he meant. I was 8. I had not even

seen a map of the world. Baba would say 'Child you have the blessing from

God that you will become an instrument for the world'. When we told these

things to our relatives they were amused. However, we had the faith that

this was what God Himself was telling us. We told our relatives that the

Gita tells of how the five pandavas faced millions of others and that they

conquered the world. There were only five pandavas and there were 80 of us

so we felt we could conquer many worlds! We felt that with our

determination and faith we could do anything. In

fact, with determination one can achieve anything.

 

Q. Seventy years ago women were considered as wives and mothers. They had

little or no social status. Can you tell us how Brahma Baba had the vision

that women could and would change their situation?

 

A. It took Brahma Baba a lot of courage to sort out everything that was

happening when he became the instrument for God. At that time, in sindh

women hardly ventured out of the house. However, when they heard the words

'you are a soul, God's child' the women forgot all social stigma and started

to change.

 

Q. Please give us advice of how we can bring about personal change so that

we can, in turn, bring about collective change.

 

A. The cause of sorrow, peacelessness and tension is the mind. We have

forgotten what the mind is and how to discipline it. When we remember that

we are souls, we understand that I the soul, have a mind. When you forget

that you are a soul and not the body, the mind plays up. In soul

consciousness I have authority over my mind and so I can control what I

think and I can stop myself creating sorrow. Today, I would like you to

take away the gift of becoming the master of your own mind. It is important

to know God because by linking your mind with the Supreme, you will

experience the happiness and joy that meditation bring.

Q. Dadi, there is an urgency we see in you to wake us all up. Why do you

feel the need for us all to totally come alive now?

 

A. I would like to say that there is not even time to answer such questions!

We should just get on and do it. I never ask God any questions. Neither

should you; just get on with it! Whatever it is I want to do, let me do it

now. I would like to tell you the the same thing as Brahma Baba told me 68

years ago; there isn't going to be another Diwali. Now think and live as if

there isn't going to be another Diwali. My lifespan has increased, God has

given me this time and chance to do service. There is a sense of urgency

because; if Ichange others will change.

 

Q. All of us have busy lives. How can we really find peace?

 

A It is only lazy people who use the word busy!. If someone is careless they

use the word 'busy'. Don't keep the words 'how, what, when and why in your

dictionary'. If you have all these questions in your mind they will come in

your vision, your words and your relationships. In fact all these things

are very simple so don't make them complicated. The intellects of human

beings across the world are tired, people's hearts are broken. All of us

have peace, love, happiness inside. Now we need to use these things.

 

Q. Dadi, explain to us the power of silence.

 

There is peace, silence, sweet silence and dead silence. First become

peaceful inside; change your peaceless nature. This will happen if you

practice going inside in silence. To go into silence means to stop your

thoughts go in many directions. Let me become introvert, turn inside and

accumulate the power of silence. When I was very young electricity came to

our town. Suddenly one day we could just press a button and the light would

come on. It is possible now for us just to press a button and to see God.

If I want to experience silence I musn't allow what I see around me to

infiltrate my mind. If it comes in, send it away. Be peaceful, be loveful.

This is, in fact, easy. Learn how to make your mind quiet and you will be

able to smile from within. Be your own friend, make God your friend and

your silence power will increase. Don't spend that power; accumulate it.

If I am making a noise how can I hear God? If I am caught up in material

consciousness, God is far away bec

ause he doesn't have a physical form. Let the mind be absolutely stable in

the consciousness of One. Not only will I then receive help from God but an

atmosphere is also created whereby others automatically get help. Firstly I

need strength and then I can take God's power; I can then have energy. The

power of knowledge gives me that strength. I have to accumulate energy in

my head and heart just as solar energy is stored. I take power from up

above and then it is as if I am not spending my own energy.

Dadi, please tell us your vision of the Golden Age.

 

Just think what the contrast is between the value of gold and the value of

iron. There is going to be a total change. All the things we see here in

this world; violence, untimely death etc. all will finish. There is a

natural law that says when things reach an extreme point old things finish

and there is a new beginning. When we look around we see conflict and

violence in every family. What happens after mid-night? The dawn breaks.

Here sorrow is reaching its extreme point and there will be a fresh start.

In the golden age there will be nothing but happiness in every home and

every family. The main thing is that because of performing wrong actions we

experience the return which is pain and sorrow. In the Golden Age we just

experience the fruit of the elevated actions we are performing now.

 

When I was 11 or 12, I had visions of the Golden Age. I saw a kingdom; not

only did the rulers having everything but all the subjects also had that

same level of attainment. In that world, everyone is fulfilled. There is

nothing which is unavailable. Here because we want something but can't get

it, we feel discontent. The blessing of this time is that god has given us

a pen to draw our line of fortune as long as we choose. Do as much elevated

action as you wish and you can create as much fortune as you choose. The

fruit will be not be just for one birth for 21 births. That pen is now in

your hands. Leave your peacelessness and sorrow behind here. Have the firm

thought 'God take away all my weaknesses and give me all Your powers.

People often say 'We like all this but we are too busy, we have too many

burdens. It is ok to stay busy but do three things; just simply meet

everyone with a smile. Do you know how to smile or should we give you

training for this? Even if someone

is angry keep smiling. Then offer them a drink. All of you have this drink.

The drink of sweet words. Then offer dilkush toil - the toli to make the

heart happy. You cannot give excuses in this. You don't need to go

shopping or prepare anything - all of you have time for this. If you do

this there will never be any conflict in your family. In every home there

will be peace and then peace will move from home to home and the world will

become peaceful.

Dadi, explain more to us about time and what your vision is for the future.

 

Over the past thirty years I have seen so much change in the world. Who

changes it? Human beings. They give their thoughts, time and energy to

change the world. However, this world has now become one without a trace of

truth. This is now the time for liberation from worry. Learn the method to

change whatever is negative and make it positive.

 

Dadi Gulzar shared with us the vision of the Golden Age. We can create that

type of world now. In fact if we want, we can change the world overnight

because when I change, the world changes. Technology is changing very fast

and human beings can also change very fast; they can transform instantly if

they want. In the past few months I feel that we are seeing a big change.

Some of you have been here for twenty years and say 'I will do it. after

thinking about it'. Some of you listen for a few hours and it is clear that

you are changing and intend to continue to change. Nowadays many have very

bitter chains of desires and attachments. I must leave those things and

then forget them. When everything is right you will become very light and

you will experience being powerful .

 

We mustn't criticize, come into corruption or get involved in competition.

To criticize is actually a sin. Let me do such actions that I receive

blessings from everyone's heart. I will then feel that I can have good

wishes for everyone. The right time has come, God is giving you all the

opportunity and you are able to create your own fortune. Now ask yourself;

Has the time come for me? Did God hear me? Has my fortune opened up? Make

everything come together with determination and see how everything happens

with just a snap of your fingers.
