devil ?

so one day i asked 1008 swami Ghasitananda ji maharaj..guruji please

tell me what is Devil, why is Devil?

 

Guruji smiled and said," Beta Once a priest was going to

church...he was in a hurry because he had to deliver a lecture on

kindness and helping others.

 

when he was passing by a well he heard cries of someone for help.

Priest peeped into the well and found someone had fallen into the

well and was crying for help to take him out.

 

Priest lit his torch and saw in the well...it was Devil who had

fallen into the well. The priest said," That is very good you got

finally what you deserved ! Now remain in the well and die there I

am not going to save you...the world will be better without you"

 

The devil said," But you are going to deliver a lecture on

kindness and helping others...how can you deliver a lecture while

leaving me here in distress ?

 

The priest said," My lecture on kindness and help is for those

who believe in Christ...not for devils like you"...saying these

words, the priest started on his journey.

 

The Devil cried," Listen you priest !! You are getting so many

followers, so many devotees...so much of donations...only because of

me. You make people afraid...show them my fear and make them follow

you. If I die....no one will come to you....and your family will

starve."

 

The priest thought for a moment....helped him out of the well

with a caution...not to tell anyone in the village that the priest

helped the devil.

 

And the world happily went on.

Though for today : I hated the devil and was sick with his

temptations and tortures; and i could not tell why the voice in his

departing words was so sweet that when he returned often and offered

himself to me, it was with sorrow i refused him.

 

Then I discovered it was KRISHNA at His tricks with me and my

hate was changed into laughter !!!!
