Guest guest
Morals and Ethics are sometimes very confusing words particularly when one starts on the path of sadhna. One religion says...Meat eaters will go to hell another religion says....no prob for meat..only dont eat cow/pig/ One religion says....drinking alcohol is immoral another religion have alcohol in their religious ceremonies. One religion says...dont molest women another says... yes dont but only of your own religion...other religion's women are worth molesting One religion says.....smoking is no spiritual other religions dont accept it This confusion starts becoz different sects developed in different regions, among different mind-sets. God is Universal....and so should be his path i.e. sadhna. so there should be a universal set of morals and ethics which should be followed by a sadhaka. Though Patanjali's Yama & Niyamas are almost universal..still to deal with day to day situation, we must go deep into this question as to what is it which should be treated as a SIN in universal terms and what is virtue ( Positive for spiritual progress) universally. Let us ponder over this for a moment ? baba
