SHRADDHA : HAVE FAITH - SKANDA PURANA

1. Whatever may be the religion, it is faith alone

that does good to everyone. It is because of faith

that people attain success both in this world and in

the other world.

2. Even the stone is fruitful to the man who adores it

with faith. Even the fool, if adored with devotion,

becomes the Guru who endows one with success.

3. Even chanted in an unintelligent manner, the

Mantras chanted with faith are sure to be fruitful.

Even to a man of low birth, God grants fruits if

worshipped with faith.

4. Pooja, Sacrifice, Penance and Vratha all become

futile if they are done without faith, as the barren

flowers of a tree.

5. The person full of doubts, who is unsteady, and

without any faith falls back from Higher purpose of

life; he never frees himself from the shackles of

Samsara.

6. Success and fruits out of mantras, Thirtas,

Learneds, Gods, Knower of the Self, Medicine and the

Preceptor depend upon the amount of devotion one has

in them.
