Guest guest
Desires are important part of creation and continuance of the Universe. Desires brought us from dead matter to plants and to animals and finally to human being. Hence we can not blame desires for our Bandhan/chains. Had we not have desired, we would have been lying as dead matter somewhere in the universe. But the same desire is keeping us busy in the universe too. One Desire, if fulfilled, gives birth to dozen other desires. It is like Raktabeeja of Devi Bhagvatam. And if desire is supressed, it comes back with tremendous force destroying all our tapas, all our yoga and leaves us far behind from our progress. What is the solution then ? Guest guest
Agreed. One should desire and work hard for it's fulfillment, honestly, diligently and ethically. But don't get attached to the result of the desire. If after all the sincere effort a contrary result ensues, accept it as the will of the Lord. Surrender the fruits of your actions and desires at the feet of the Lord, If the desire is fulfilled, accept it as the grace of the Lord, rather than the result of your efforts. Have a Prasad Buddhi and Isvara Arpana Buddhi. That is the trick. Guest guest
Babaji is very knowledgeable, he does not need any answers. However! In the philosophy of Advaita Vedanta, this universe was never created, it is apparent only. It's like a dream, but not your or my dream. We are all parts of this larger dream. Because this creation is apparent, the philosophy takes great pains to explain its components to the minutest detail and in the rejects it as non-existent. It makes lot of sense, because when I am present in flesh and blood, it shall make no sense to say that I do not exist. Therefore the philosophy helps us to raise the level of our understanding very beautifully before rejecting the creation. The ultimate answer lies in understanding of our true nature, the Self, one without a second. Who Am I? We have to climb the ladder rung by rung until we reach the top and not start dancing in the middle lest we fall. This is Sadhana. Guest guest
Radhe Radhe to all, Here I would like to add , Kripaluji Maharaj says........You can not stop desiring....there are two area to desire from.....one material area and another spiritual area.....Desiring for material things is no no for any sadhak......but desire in spiritual area also is dangerous...as if desire something from God and if it is not fulfilled......you are bound to become Nastik....The best way for sadhak is to desire for happiness of swami.....be happy in happiness of Krishna...That way even if you are sad for any reason you will always remain happy thinking its my Swami's wish and I should accept it for HIS happiness....... Regarding surrendering fruits of action.........There is another thing which we need to keep in mind.............whatever we offer or surrender to Krishna........HE returns it back to us with thousand times........so you need to be careful while surrendering or offering something to Krishna.........All you good deeds must be offered and surrendered.....and not the bad deeds....or it will be returned back with multiplication....when you offer good deeds, it no more remains yours , so you will not have Ego of doing anything good.....But the bad deed has to be repented and never to be repeated....That way your progress in spiritual area will be faster... Desire for Krishna's darshan, HIS seva........Those are good desires...... Radhe Radhe Who_make_sense

Your mere presence is sufficient to convert knowledge into wisdom. But kindly allow me to differ on this point. I do not accept the world as apparent and Maya. Advait Vedanta only says there is only one consciousness....it never said world is fake (yes Yoga vashishta said this but that book is not a complete and authentic version of Vedanta) Shruti says :- Sarvam Khalvidam Brahmam - Whatever is, is Brahm himself. Hence the statement of Upanishads Brahm Satyam Mithya Jagat....is half truth Ardh-Satya. The world is a continuous creation (manifestation) of the Supreme. Untruth can not be outcome of Truth. The world may be a Maya but it is a relative statement...not absolute truth. Gita which can be taken as an authenticated source of wisdom of Santan Dharam, as it was uttered by no other than the Supreme himself, no where tells us that Universe is fake and it was never created. Rather Shri Krishna himself tells in Gita that the Nature is Yoni whereas i m the Father who puts his seeds in that yoni Also Shri Krishna says....Nature, under my supervision creates this Universe with the help of three gunas ! In my humble opinion saying the Universe as apparent and Maya or fake, may be a part of truth but not complete truth. I treat the whole universe as the body of my beloved Krishna...how can i accept it as fake ? it is as dear to me as He himself is....it is as alive with his breath as I am. with my pranams baba beirut wala
Guest guest
Babji, I totally agree with you. Whatever the world may be, it must be taken as very real to be able to do any Sadhana and make progress towards the ultimate goal. The tools for Sadhana available to us are the body - mind complex and the whole world spread before us. There is no contradiction. The Sanskrit word used in the scriptures is Mithiya, meaning it does not have an independent existence. Its existence depends upon the existence of the Absolute Truth or Reality. In fact it is all a superimposition upon the Reality. Remove the veil of superimposition, the Truth shines forth. Truth can exist independent of all else (in fact there is nothing else) but the world cannot. The contemplation on this statement is sufficient for Moksha. Please try to analyze the dream state, the dream world and the dreamer, you should get the answers. In the dream state there is no dreamer or the dream world but only the sub-conscious mind is present, which projects all this. Similarly the truth behind the visible world is the Self alone and none else.
