Guest guest
Dear Sadhakas, Every statement has two sides with different meaning. the state : "Women are doorway to hell?" is meant for those, who I suppose, are unaware of the excessive involvement, like I tell my grandchild "don't touch fire it will burn your fingers". I thank Pyari_h for quotinng from the scriptures. I have a simple suggestion as a Sadhaka ask your mind to show you the truth - of course it depends on the maturity of the mind - if the mind is like my grandchild at 3 years old he will try to put his hand in the fire. Scriptures are there to lead you to a matured mental state but no scripture is greater than the senses lying within you as Atman hope to hear more With regards. jyotishguru
Guest guest
Namaste. Thanks jyotish g for the new direction - Woman a doorway to Heaven.. To begin with, our '' group introduction page has an inviting sacred picture of Goddess Saraswati devi, Who I presume, is also in the Divine form of a Woman. This Female personality, Devi Sarasvati being the presiding deity of wisdom and divine knowledge clearly indicates, that through the grace of this Woman, man acuires spiritual as well as material knowledge and his doors to heaven are opened. Another famous quote from sastra : jananI janmabhUmiz ca svargAdy api garIyasI' One's birth giving mother and one's motherland are greater than even heaven. Of course every mother is a woman, mother country as well as mother earth are considered to be feminine too. Before any individual pass any harsh collective judgements about women, he or she should think of the great gifts given and sacrifices made by these feminine figures to every man and woman. It is a common saying that every great man has a great woman in his life leading him to his desired success and fame. Rasik Saint kavi Lilasuka, openly thanked 'Chintamani' in his 'Sri Krishna Karnamrita'. Sant Tulasi das's life and devotion had changed for the better by his wife. More biographies of Saints like Purandara das, Tukaram, Jayadeva and so on reveal the favorable influence of women in their devotional lives. Adi Jagadguru Sri Shankara Acarya had composed many hymns in praise of 'Shakti Tattva' and very much dedicated himself to both material mother and Divine Mother. Shakti Herself is the feminine counterpart of His Divinity. How can the Divine Personality exist without His Shakti? Actually all bhakta's are worshipping Bhakti Devi, all Jnanis are praying to Mukti Devi, liberation. Materialists are surrendering to Maya devi, illusory power of the Lord. Since the term 'Shakti' itself being feminine word, all souls are females being the parts of 'jiva Shakti'. "zakti mAn kI zaktiyAn agaNit yadapi bakhAn, tin mahan 'mAyA','jIva', aru,'parA' trizakti pradhAn." Lord Kishna possesses innumerable POWERS, out of which the THREE main are, Maya Shakti (External Cosmic Power), Jiva Shakti (Neutral Power of unlimited Souls) and Para Shakti(Internal Transcendental Power). "jIva taTastha zakti par, mAyA kar adhikAr, vastutastu yaha dAsa hai, swAmI nanda kumAr." Jiva Sakti is a NEUTRAL POWER- Tatastha Sakti, which has been OVERPOWERED by INSENTIENT MAYA SHAKTI since time IMMEMORIAL, although ITS TRUE NATURE is SERVITUDE of its MASTER, LORD KRISHNA. "kRSNa bahirmukha jIva kahan, mAyA karati AdhIn, tAte bhUlyo Apu kahan, banyo viSaya rasa mIn." The Individual soul has TURNED ITSELF AWAY FROM ITS MASTER, the Supreme Lord, since time immemorial. Hence, Maya Shakti has OVERPOWERED the Jiva. As a consequence of HAVING FORGOTTEN ITS ORIGINAL TRANSCENDAENTAL NATURE, the SELF, the Jiva IDENTIFIES itself with the body (male or female) and becomes attached to material subjects and objects. "antaraGga hai parA jo, sarva samartha kahAya, ati vicitra gati parA kI, mAyA pati hun nacAya." Lord Krishna's 'Para'Sakti,INTERNAL POTENCY is EXTREMELY POWERFUL and MAKES IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE. The 'Para Sakti' (YOGAMAYA) is SO AMAZING that IT causes even the SUPREME PERSONALITY, to PLAY AND DANCE in BLISSFUL EXPLOITS!!! (Source: 'Bhakti Shatak' Verses 3,4,5,6 - Sri Kripaluji Maharaj) We also see the Trinity are being worshipped along with their Shaktis, Divine Consorts, Brahma with Sarasvati, Vishnu with Lakshmi and Shiva with Parvati (Uma). In Vrindavana, the land of Divine Love, the Queen is Radha Rani and the Supreme Purusha, Lord Krishna feels blessed to render loving service to His Soul, His 'Ahladini shakti', Sri Radhika. I have noticed in JKP ashrams, women-preachers as well as women devotees outnumber the male pracharaks and male devotees. The hugging saint 'Ammachi', ' Anandamurti guru maa' and other great women spiritual guides in moderen times are changing the old ways of thinking in masculine minds. You should sometimes, write your own thoughts too. Tks anyway. Let me add my half a cent to the glory of Mother Shakti:_ O Mother! like the sleeping Queen of serpents Residing in the centre of the first lotus Thou didst create the universe Thou dost ascend like a streak of lightning, And attainest the ethereal region; The Cause and thinker of the World, She whose form is that of the Shabdabrahman, And whose substance is bliss. Thou art the primordial one, Mother of countless creatures, Creatrix of the bodies of the lotus-born Vishnu and Shiva, Who creates, preserves and destroyes the worlds... Although thou art the primordial cause of the world, Yet art thou ever youthful. Although thou art the Daughter of the mountain-king Yet art thou full of tenderness Although thou art the Mother of Vedas Yet they cannot describe thee, Althought men must meditate upon Thee, Yet cannot their mind comprehend Thee. baba
