That is the reason why someone here once commented that Upanishads

to be "secret", because it can be "dangerous"! In the hands of ego

centered human beings, ignorant use of "Aham Brahmasmi" or "Shivoham"

is disastrous.

 

Gyana yoga helps expand knowledge, Bhakti yoga helps tame the ego and

stay humble, Karma yoga helps "walk the talk", and Raja Yoga helps

directly experiencing the Ultimate. So Gyana without Bhakti may

become

self- serving, Bhakti without Gyana becomes fanatical, and either one

without Karma is empty words and of course all paths lead to the

Royal

path .. the one of directly experiencing the Ultimate.

 

In today's infomatiom age, where such "secrecy" rules are not

entirely

being followed, the responsibilty turns to the sadhak themselves. Our

motivation determines what fruit we ultimately reap.
