Guest guest
Happy celebrations of Sri Ramanavami ! These verses are from the most popular, melodious bhajan- 'Sri Acyutashtakam', composed by Sri Adi Jagadguru Shankara Acarya Bhagavatpada, in praise of his Beloved Lord: rAkSasa kSobhitaH sItayA zobhito daNDakAraNya bhU puNyatA kAraNaH, lakSmaNen Anvito vAnaraiH sevito 'gastya sampUjito rAghavaH pAtu mAm My eternal Protector is Ramacandra, the Lord of Raghu Dynasty. He has successfully tormented the evil demoniac forces on the earth. His charm has been rendered more lovely by the warm company of mother Sita Devi. He has become the holy Source of auspiciousness and fame even to the wild forests of Dandaka! He is always accompanied by His beloved brother, Lakshmana. He is selflessly served by the dedicated souls belonging to the less evolved monkey tribes, and is fondly worshipped by the liberated sages like Agastya!
