Darshan of Lord Ayyappa is considered to be a great blessing. Millions of devotees from all over the world visit the temple in Sabarimalai, India. Makara Sankranti is calculated according to solar movements. It is an annual puja, always held on January 14th. Makara refers to the Makara rashi.
