He is a respected active member of our forum, a long time friend, and a Swamiji who "walks the talk" living in his karmic role of a Sanyasi. All our members are important to me, and share the right and responsibility to make sure this forum is true to its mission. A true satsangh is a family, a spiritual one, and each and every voice is respected. I am making a point of this, not because Radha Kutirji needs my support; his kind actions and words speak louder than any words can speak, but because this is why many of our members don't speak up, or stop doing so when they get spoken to like this. I have been personally told by several members that they don't like to be insulted and don't feel the need to participate in a forum where people insult them in the name of promoting their brand of spirituality!! We have had a few members in the past, who still remain in the club in dozens of psuedo names, who have harrassed members on and off the message board and have accosted them in Messenger; they have bad-mouthed the founders, specially myself, till the point comes where members simply quit. These people do so specially with innocent active new members. Lord knows what their agenda is! And all this in the name of being a spiritual person discussing "spiritual" issues, with religious shlokas on their lips. We also have members who have supported that kind of behavior by encouraging them in a variety of ways. One thing we need to understand is that this IS one of the very few truely open forums, where the true face of the Sanatana Dharma is promoted - diversity of paths, inclusivity of all seekers and divergent thinking, where NO specific path is promoted, no specific person is the boss or know-it-all, and no one individual is promoting his wares! ON an individual level, for me all are manifestations of THAT, and I learn from all. However it has to be remembered, that the forum is public and OPEN about ideas, thoughts and paths, but NOT about behavior. Personalized insults, or rude behavior is not encouraged and in extreme cases, removed. Seekers are encouraged to teach/share with their actions, "Walk the Talk"; they are encouraged to share HOW they are imbibing their Guru's teachings, or present queries, samplings of text, prayers, quotations etc, instead of simply cut- pasting lengthy articles and literature which is now so freely available on the internet. Again, I request you Dear Krishnajoe, Please share with us how you have experienced the teachings, give us links, samplings of texts, prayers, etc and tell us what the teachings mean in the context of our daily living, assist members to understand in your own words, HOW to apply the teachings in one's turbulent lives. In doing so, I believe, (who knows I may be wrong - correct me please Dear members) you will be doing more service to your Guruji, in helping people understand what your Guruji is attempting to share with the world. Forcing long texts on disinterested members, isn't helping you attain that goal. I hope to continue hearing more from you. Thank you _/\_ Tat twam asi Govind bolo hari gopal bolo! Guest guest
Good points Uma,I absolutely agree. You already know my opinion, i ve said it before, long posts are just so booooooring. Using quotes is not bad, unless one has other intentions behind that such as proselytizing. Trying to push people into specific beliefs only brings forth the opposite. I always thought that the intention and purpose of our postings should be to *discuss* and not preach. In this spirit we can exchange information and links. There is also the issue of advertising, posting links is ok unless one is an active member of our group. I suggest we make this a rule. Principally I have nothing personal against the ISKON, I ve experimented with the hare krishna mantra for some time, out of curiosity and I must say I was impressed. It has strong concentrational potential. Another thing that I have been thinking for a lot time is the limited features of the . As a member of various other forums, mostly phpbb or invision boards, I can say that they are far better than . cheers
Guest guest
Yes dear Tatwamasi i fully agree with you. Despite having a lot of problems with Hare Krishna people, despite knowing that they do not take part in any discussion and continue with their trumpet, despite their stubborn behaviour, I would request you to let Krsnajoe, play his part in this forum. If people dont like his speeches, they will not read them. Someone asked him, "why ask for forgiveness." Perhaps the questioner is not aware of Bhakti Yoga and the terms related to this path. A vedanti or a gyanyogi has no right to disapprove a Bhakta's designs....nor has a bhakta any right to mock at a gyani. If u believe yourself as GOD be it...but pls dont insult other (smaller) Gods too...let them learn their lessons themselves.. hari aum
