Guest guest
Several interesting topics are being discussed. I hope more and more members join in, because the more opinions we have the more information flow there is possible. As Beirut Baba has pointed out, the purpose of the Guru given name is being misunderstood. In fact, a Guru is considered far superior to not only the biological parents, but also to others .. "Gururbrahmaa Gururvisnuh, Gururdevo Mahesvarah. Gurussaakshaat Param Brahma, Tasmai Shri Gurave Namah" In other texts it is also found where parents are looked upon as the presence of "God" himself. Looked upon as a whole, it merely reiterates Tat Twam Asi .. all are THAT .. the only difference is that some are more realized than others! Ritual or spiritual - Sadhna can be either or both, it all depends on the motivation and temperament of the individual. As I was typing this word, it made me think of the spelling - what is the relationship between the words.. ritual and spi-ritual ?? ANy thoughts? _/\_ Tat twam asi Uma
