Guest guest
tatwamasi you have found a beautiful link between ritual and spiritual. Yes most of the people here, talk much against rituals (and i am one of them too) but we have to stop and think. people doing rituals and thus fulfilling their dharma, are they really ignorant people. NO it will be too egotistic to say so. spirituality began, the day human being was born. What is spirituality ? it is the journey from darkness towards light...it is a journey from untruth to truth. And appearance of human beings was first step of Mother nature towards spirituality, to take the mind and matter towards truth. The final aim of spirituality is to merge with the Truth and become Truth ourselves. All of us are on the path of spirituality...some in the primary classes, some in secondary and some in higher classes. So looking down upon any of the class would be a simple folly. Those who are thinking today, will do puja tomorrow...those who are doing puja today will be doing Dhyana tomorrow...those doing dhyana today will go for samadhi...and so on. Rituals may take to religion...but religion takes to truth...if we do not understand the religion..it is not the fault of the religion. hari aum
Guest guest
this reminded me a story too once two disciples of a guru started Kali sadhna together. When the sadhna was over, Mother Kali appeared before them. One of them died on the spot after seeing the fearful mother, while the other though trembling and sweating, remained conscious. Mother Kali asked him to ask for any boon. The boy asked,' Mother first tell me why u were so cruel to my friend. We are both doing same japa, we are of same age and of same strength...then why this poor boy could not reap fruits of his sadhna and why i am getting a boon from you.' Mother Kali laughed and replied," Son dont think i am doing special favour to you and cruel to your friend. You have been doing my sadhna for 7 births and everytime when I appeared before you, you died of fear, you are now strong enough to face me. Your friend has only done my sadhna for 3 births...so he will die many times more before he also faces me and gets boon. Does this story not elaborate rituals and spirituality ? can we say spiritual is right and ritual is not ? hari aum
Guest guest
It is very difficult to get rid off from the clutches of rituals. If there are 7 births , then ok . But it is believed 84 lakhs births to one has to under go. My view there is no rebirth. namasivayam
