Guest guest
One businessman had a safe which opened only after tapping 2/3 times on the lock, after the key has been rotated. There seemed to be some fault with the safe, but as the man was miser enough not to waste money on unnecessary repairs, this tapping continued. Thanks to his stars, his hard work and his misery, he became very rich man and left billions for his children. His children, who had seen father tapping 3 times at the safe, considered safe to be lucky and did not bother to change it and continued tapping the lock 3 times to open it. years passed, his sons died and business empire taken over by grandchildren. The safe was discarded and a new one purchased. But his grandchildren still tap three times on the safe. They dont know the reason why, they only know their father did it, grandfather did it and thus they became rich. The next generation will do the same thing. That is a religious person who believes in rituals. There might have been some truth in the rituals performed thousands of years ago. A Spiritual person is the one who does not tap the lock of the safe because his grandfathers did that. A religious person is a fearful person. He performs rituals to please god or for the fear of him. He is a cunning person. He does all type of cheatings in the day to day life and in the evening, by offering a few coins to some god, he thinks he has been forgiven. Confessing before a priest, is also same type of ritual. A religious person is a shrewd businessman, who keeps gods happy with donations and prayers and do all type of dishonesty, and cheating in his life. What those prophets said in those times, may be true then. But following those commandments now in the era of computers, is nothing but a folly. On the other hand a spiritual person is the one who has awakened to the truth. Who starts thinking in terms of totality and not for his foolish mortal gains. A spiritual person may not be religious, he may not go to a temple or may not prayer daily. But he is always in union with the supreme. He does not take fellow human beings or even animals, insects, and trees etc...as different entities. He takes the whole universe as a Tantra of the Universal eternal energies playing their game with the help of 3 gunas. Spirituality does not come overnight. By seeing a few visions, or seeing some bright light during meditation (or through guru- kripa), or being in a state of blissfullness for some moments, one should not think he has become perfect. These are only sign boards on the path of Truth. Yes they are indicatives of a little progress but not of reaching the ultimate. To become a real spiritual person means, we have to become like God ...hence we have to start thinking like God...taking whole universe as ourselves. This is not easy. Mere thinking will not do. We have to put our thoughts to practical karma. In this matrix of mixed energies where reactionary energies are always ready to oppose us, on the wrong path...as well as on the right path, it seems impossible to think like God. The very system of Universal Energies will fiercely oppose us, sometimes in fatal terms. The Universal system of Energies, does not like any type of energy to concentrate at one place. It opposes concentration of energies, be it bad energies or good energy. That is the reason, that when Hitler is born...whole world became one to destroy him. When Mahatama Gandhi was born...Nathuram Godse was not far behind. Mother Nature even sends fatal diseases to destroys those who have very powerful concentration of positive energies. Paramhansa died of throat cancer We are under pressure from three sources. One our inert lower prakriti, which is interested in status-quo...and does not want any change. Two our Higher nature which forces us to come out of old and live in renewed and higher energy fields.Third the call of the divine. The pure potentiality has a continuous pressure on the living beings to reach to him. And today's human beings are a confused lot...confused by these three entirely different types of energies. A spiritual person, understands these pressures and instead of fighting with them and making them his opponents, tries to understand their ways and finally uses them positively to gain his freedom (will continue if it was not boring )
