We must understand the essence

So therefore, it is very necessary to scrutinisingly study the philosophy, but

don't think

 

that in and of itself will help you. We must understand the essence - Bhakti and

you must

 

put that into your life. And if you do, your heart will gradually melt

 

.. And in that state out of love, you will gradually begin to long more and

 

more and more for the presence of God in your life. Prabhuapada would

 

often tell us, the price of Krishna, is the tears that you flow from your eyes,

 

in longing of separation from Him. We must learn to long for Krishna.

 

We must learn to long for the compassion to help every living being who

 

is a part and parcel of Krishna. And all of these glorious attributes are born

 

from one who attentively chants the holy name - Hare Krishna Hare Krishna

Krishna

 

Krishna Hare Hare / Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. Chanting the holy

name

 

by attentively offering our consciousness to the process of hearing to eachand

every syllable.

 

This is the goal of life and the means to attain it.

You will not be the loser

When Krishna played the flute, the gopis, they left their parents, they left

 

everything to join Krishna. Well I tell you my friends whenever the kirtan

 

of the holy name is going on with association of saintly persons; the flute of

Krishna

 

is playing. How many of us are in the mood of gopis. They were ready to risk

everything,

 

to lose everything, to join the kirtan that is the qualification and the value.

 

On Sunday Krishna is playing His flute all day long in Radha Gopinath Mandir.

 

But His flute will be sounding in His name as all the devotees are chanting and

dancing.

 

The glories have been discussed in Srimad Bhagvatam and Bhagavat Gita

discourses.

 

Are we in the mood of the gopis? Nothing has any value except that in comparison

to that.

 

The gopis renounced everything and attained the highest position of Krishna’s

true blessing.

 

They didn’t lose anything. Rupa Goswami says, do not think that if you surrender

to

 

Krishna you will be the loser, you will not lose anything except bondage,

frustration, suffering.

 

That is all you will lose. What will you gain? The ultimate goal of Krishna

Consciousness,
