Guest guest
Namaste @ all! Last weekened I attended a seminar about Onnuri medicine, Smile Meditation and Twist therapy which was very interesting and I thought to give here a very brief, almost symbolic:D summary of it. In all, the theory behind it was very similar to the classical metaphysical theory of the soul being a part of the universal soul and its existence fulfills itself when it perfects itself. The only difference was the different terms where used to describe the same old things. The meditation that we performed consisted of mantras, mudras and sort of tai chi movements. The difference though, in this seminar was the emphasis that was laid on the importance and the origin of the smile as an expression of the perfect balance of the soul. The whole theory is much more complex for me to analyse here, what we practically tried, was to induce an inner Mind Smile in our whole mental body (One mind smile). Also we meditated on the smile of the mind(!) of separate parts and organs of the body. And then on the actuall (physical) organs and parts themselves. Slow movements as the ones in tai chi have a special ability to attract a positive power to the practicioner or better said, to attract pure energy, prana. Its because movement is a sum of fundamental universal forces and dance itself has even healing qualities. In the seminar , the education on dance and music was stressed extensively. I am afraid I might have confused you since I was not able to reproduce here the whole theory supporting these views. The whole seminar lasted many hours (4 days) and its impossible to post here everything. For people who are interested to know more about Onnuri therapy you can do a google search on Professor Park Jae Woo (the founder), on Su Jok Acupunture and Onnuri medicine.
