would like to welcome you to the

Gauranga Dharma University of Vedic Studies. Our

beloved Spiritual

Master, His Holiness Tridandi Bhikshu Srila

Bhaktiratna Sadhu Swami

Gaurangapada Maharaja, has given this monumentous task

to us to

establish an online place of learning for the science

of Shri

Gauranga (Chaitanya) Mahaprabhu realization. Shrila

Gaurangapada

has taught us that without a complete in depth

understanding of Shri

Shri Nitai-Gauranga, we will never come to a complete

understanding

of Shri Shri Radha-Krsna. This is the purpose of this

University.

 

Gauranga Dharma University of Vedic Studies is

completely non-

sectarian. It is not our purpose to proselyte members

for Gauranga

Dharma, but to teach, inspire, and assist in the

advancement of

spiritual knowledge. We do not discriminate about

which Gaudiya

Vaisnava Math or Guru one associates with or has taken

shelter of,

it may be any of the many branches of the tree of Shri

Gauranga

Mahaprabhu. We respect, adore and worship all the

bonafide branches

of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. What we are concerned about is

the spreading

of the Holy Names and Maha Mantra coming to a complete

understanding of

Vaishnava philosophy as it pertains to the revealed

scriptures by our Acaryas. If

you feel the same, you can please join us.

 

Tulsi Mataji and I have decided to completely monitor

this group for

this reason. We come together to learn, study and

advance our own

sadhana, not to promote our particular Math or Gurudev

or to

minimize any other group in any way. We respect the

devotion of all

the bonafide Gaudiya Vaishnavas and thus proper

Vaisnava etiquette

will be observed at all times. Vaisnava aparadha will

not be

tolerated, we are here to learn, not offend anyone

within the

Vaisnava community. Vaisnava aparadha will bring about

an immediate

banning from the group. If offense has occurred,

re-admittance will

be allowed after a period of time and after all

parties concerned

have settled their differences. Our purpose is to come

to a complete

understanding of Shri Shri Gaura-Nitai and ultimately

that of Sri

Sri Radha-Krsna.

 

There are four levels in the Gauranga Dharma

University of Vedic

Studies. Each will have its own degree course and

special award for

excellence that will be issued by the GDUVS and signed

by Shrila

Gaurangapada upon completion of each level. Also,

there may be

books that one may be required to purchase, but these

are your books

and they will further advance your sadhana. Also we

will try to

provide the ebooks for free. Below is a list of the

four levels, and

the books that are required for each level. All books

are easily

obtainable. Chances are you already have most of them,

if not all.

 

Online classes begin in June 14,2004. These courses

are set up so that

there is no failure. You may take the exams, as many

times as you

feel is necessary to become proficient with the

knowledge. Our

email addresses will be available to you at all times

so that you

can contact us with any questions concerning Shri Shri

Gaura-Nitai,

materials or general topics. There will be two classes

weekly.

Each class will have four or five questions that you

need to cover

the reading. At the end of four classes, a

questionnaire will be

given to see if there are any problems that need to be

addressed.

Plus there will GDU Audio Chat Rooms on Paltalk or

frequently

which you will be informed about. And there will be

Category for GDUVS on the Gauranga Dharma Forums where

you can give

your suggestions and comments on how to improve the

GDU. Also we are

planning for a Webpage or at least a Blog for the GDU

soon.
