Guest guest
Namaste. The following verses were part of a prayer by Queen Kuntidevi to Lord Krishna when He ws about to depart from them after the Maha bharata war: Salutations to Krishna born of Vasudeva and Devaki ! Salutations again and again to the Brahman of the Upanishads Who has appeared in His sportive manifestation as the son of Nanda. 1.8.21 vipadaH santu naH zazvat tatra tatra jagadgurO, bhavatO darzanaM yasyAd apunarbhava darzanam O Teacher of all the worlds ! Let perils face us at every step; for it is in dangerous situations that we feel the presence of You, Whose vision bestows freedom from rebirth. 1.8.25 No one can understand the real intentions of Your sportive actions when You simulate the ways of men in Your incarnations. None is friendly or inimical to You. You come only to redeem jivas and even the destruction of so called enemies is only to bless them and give them salvation thereby. 1.8.29 bhave 'smin klizyamAnAnAM avidyAkAma karmabhiH zravaNa smaraNArhANi kariSyanniti kecana zRNvanti gAyanti gRNanty abhIkSNazaH smaranti nandanti tave hitaM janAH ta eva pazyanty acireNa tAvakaM bhava pravAho paramaM padAmbujam (Bhagavatam 1.8. 35, 36) "Some others maintain that You have descended on earth with the intention of performing deeds fit to be HEARD OF and DWELT UPON by those who are tormented in this world by ignorance, selfish desires and sinful acts. That is why Your devotees constantly LISTEN to, SING, REPEAT to others and CONTEMPLATE on Your stories and rejoice; and it is they ALONE who behold before long Your lotus feet that put an END to the stream of births and deaths." ------- anugrahAya bhaktAnAM mAnuSaM deham AsthitaH bhajate tA dRzIh krIdA yAH zrutvA tat paro bhavet (Bhagavatam 10.33.36) Out of His causeless Grace and unlimited compassion, Lord Krishna descends on earth in a Human form and exhibits His transcendental pastimes, so that the conditioned souls may be attracted to hearing those Blissful exploits performed by Him and become absorbed in the loving contemplation of the Lord.
