Namaste. May the blessings of Lord Buddha be upon all.

nindasi yajnavidhe rahaha zRti jAtaM

sadaya hRidaya darzita pazu ghAtaM

kezava! dhRta buddha zarira!

jaya jagadIza! hare!

(Sri Jayadeva DazAvatAra stotra 1.9)

Meaning-

'O Kesava!

You took the form of Lord Buddha

to criticize the Vedas and

rebuked the sacrificial Yajnas,

out of Your mercy towards the animals

who were being slaughtered by ritualists

for their trivial material gain.

You are the same Hari, the Lord of all !

Glorious victory unto You!'

"The Scripture of the Saviour of the World,

Lord Buddha- Prince Siddhartha styled on earth-

In Earth and Heaven and Hells Incomparable,

All-honored, Wisest, Best, most Pitiful;

the Teacher of Nirvana and the Law.

Thus came he to be born again for men.""

******

"Here endeth what I write

Who love the Master for his love of us.

A little knowing, little have I told

Touching the Teacher and the Ways of Peace.

Forty-five rains thereafter showed he those

In many lands and many tongues and gave

Our Asia light, that still is beautiful,

Conquering the world with spirit of strong grace:

All which is written in the holy Books,

And where he passed and what proud Emperors

Carved his sweet words upon the rocks and caves:

And how- in fulness of times-it fell

The Buddha died, the gteat Tathaagato,

Even as a man 'mongst men, fulfilling all:

And how a thousand thousand crores since then

Have trod the Path which leads wither he went

Unto NIRVAANA where the Silence lives."

Namaste dear SVCS.

Thanks. Though absent from our groupdiscussion for almost one year,

now I am here again for another four months and like to share my two

cents worth, a few devotional thoughts and scriptural quotes of

importance.
