Guest guest
Dear Sankar, I don't know if you're still reading this group and the replies to your "farewell" or not. Perhaps, if I can obtain your email address, I will send you a copy of this. I was having some thoughts this morning about this whole matter of Amma Anasuya Devi telling a woman to let the husband beat her. I pondered and reflected a lot since I read your post yesterday. One thought/idea that came up, is that to whoever She might have said this to (that is, presuming She really DID say this, and it wasn't the author of that particular article putting his own spin on it or Her words in his *own* way), might actually have been a woman who perhaps had been a man in many past lives who beat his wives, and now was at some inner level suffering from a lot of guilt. One never knows exactly *why* a saint may say what they say to another. I think / suspect that they always speak to the "level" of consciousness that that person is at. Sankar, maybe She was speaking to a woman who actually was never ever beaten by a husband and maybe in fact was married to a very kind man, and Amma was addressing her guilt from past lives of beating a women!!! I think that even saints may tell different things about the Infinite that 'contradict'..I think one explanation for this is that they too are seeing/knowing varying views of something so large, so immeasurable...etc. Anyway, I offer this to you because I am distressed that you are so upset -- upset enough to leave this wonderful forum. As far as what Satish posted, I do think that the word "avatar" needs to be defined as per Meher Baba, before ANY understanding at all may be achieved. To say that God comes only in a male body is totally absurd and ludicrous and I am not sure this is what Satish meant to convey at all in his post. The definition of "avatar" must be studied/comprehended as per Meher Baba, I think, before any really intelligent discussion or understanding can be had. These are just my thoughts, I send you my love, and please do stay..I would like to see you post more here and you are important. Love, Kathy Blessings
Guest guest
I agree to waht Kathy says; spacially about, i quote her,"it wasn't the author of that particular article putting his own spin on it or Her words in his *own* way), might actually have been a woman who perhaps had been a man in many past lives who beat his wives, and now was at some inner level suffering from a lot of guilt. And for Sanker I have only to offer my humble head in respect of the noble thoughts, he holds as a Shakta, and wish profoundly to enlighten us our conditioned minds. I wont accept his farewell, instead pray him to look after our welfare and that of the group. In fact we do accept that all are ONE, but the truble arised when we can not decide WHICH ONE. Now I hopefully await Shankar's reasponce Satish , celestial_saraswati <no_reply> wrote: > Dear Sankar, > > I don't know if you're still reading this group and the replies to > your "farewell" or not.
