Guest guest
Namaste all, It didn't take long for me to realize that 108 is a significant number to Hindus. Can anyone tell me why? Also, browsing through temple websites, I see the fees for their services mostly end in 1 ($51, for example). Why is this? There are 108 nadis ( nerve like )that you can leave your body at death. If you do not leave by the right one you return to the earth plane. This is what I was taught by Goswami Kriyananda > > Also, browsing through temple websites, I see the fees for their > services mostly end in 1 ($51, for example). In japa I was taught by Shree Maa, when you finish the 108 repetitions add a few more or one more to show God your resolve to go the extra mile. Love baba "While the mind is centered in the body, and consciousness is centered in the mind, awareness is free. The body has its urges and mind its pains and pleasures. Awareness is unattached and unshaken. It is lucid, silent, peaceful, alert and unafraid, without desire and fear. Meditate on it as your true being and try to be it in your daily life, and you shall realize it in its fullness." Nisgaradatta
Guest guest
Namaste! Well I thought there are 72.000 nadis. I have heard that the number 108 is related to the number of human births a soul can take during its evolution. If it doesnt take advantage of it then it gets reborn in a lower body (as an animal) where there is no chance to escape the wheel of samsara or the birth and death. , baba108 <no_reply> wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > > Namaste all, > > > > It didn't take long for me to realize that 108 is a significant > > number to Hindus.
