Guest guest
A learned old person,a stunch devotee was once going to cross a river. He always used to say, "God shall help me. I have faith in Him". He went to the boatman and asked to sail acroos. The boatman said, "sir, the people standing here also wish to cross the river, but they are afraid of the weather". The old bhakta said,"ok, take me alone. I shall pay u full. God will help me" Thus after must insist he alone road on the boat and it sailed off. When the boad crossed only 1/3rd way, the persons standing on the shore gave a shouting call and said that ,"dark clouds are visible. Please return back". Old fellow asked the boatman to carry on and said,"I do have Faith in Him". When the boat reached almost midway, both of them, the old man and the boat man, saw dark clouds nearing fastly. The boat man said, "sir,if u say I can still run the boad downstream before the furry reaches us". This too did not made any change in the old man's decision. He said, "Carry on, Faith is God. We may cross the river before furry reaches us" Ultimately furry came, boatman escaped by jumping and swimming;old man did not know swimming and he was drowned. Naturally, since he was a poice man, he was admitted to Havens. As soon as he reached haven, he wished to call upon the God. Within no time he was escorted before God's assembly. Here he made his protest, "I trusted You, but you drowned me.why ?" God said,"My dear child, I warned you three times. Firstly via people's choice, second time via their shouting voice, third time via boat man's advice."
What do we understand about Faith by this story ?
Let us ponder,
Love from
me
