Guest guest
Namaste all…

I would like to thank everyone that managed to make it to our last club chat of 2001 that was held this past Saturday. It was a particularly fruitful chat for me personally. I hope other members agree.

Although we will not be having an organized chat until after the first of the year, I would like to urge members to strike up impromptu chats. If we are on Messenger and see other members online, perhaps we can invite several members into a conference and post the topic of discussion on our board for other members to read. Interaction is a wonderful tool and can be very powerful. If you would like to know how to have a conference on Messenger, please feel free to email me (sugarandbrine) or send me a message via messenger (sugarandbrine).

As for this past Saturday’s chat, we covered a lot of ground. First off we discussed discipline and members discussed laziness as being the primary factor leading to lack of discipline. Other possibilities included unclear or unrealistic goals and impatience. This lead to a discussion of the concept of time. What is time? How can we look past “setting the clock” on our practice? How can we learn patience with ourselves and with the Divine? We also discussed attachment to results or to our goals themselves. How can we detach from these? How can we assure we are not getting attached to goal/results?

Lastly, we discussed obstacles along our path. Sometimes these hurdles must come to us, so we can learn to overcome them and have faith in ourselves and in the Divine.

I would like to encourage members to continue these concepts of conversation here on board as well as the other topics we are discussing.

In Love,
Erica
