I just got this email from a woman in South Africa. If anyone has

suggestions, post them to the group and I will collate and send them to her.

I am doing a Master's Thesis on Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi, using Ken

Wilber's Quadrant, and linking the two into Christian meditation and

contemplation.

The sources I use have to be very academically sound (i. e., referenced

properly via bibliographies, etc.)

What sources (even Internet) would you recommend I use?

Brian

Hi,

Patajali's Yoga Sutra should be the most original and authentic

reference you can have. I believe it may be available in book form. It

is definitely availble on some web sites.

Swami Vivekananda's book "RAJA Yoga" (available at Ramakrishna

Math/Mission Bookstalls)is also an authentic and lucid treatise.

The following sites have the Patanjali's Sutras with commenteries.

Hope this helps.

Regards - Jay
