Guest guest
Well, if this is a photograph of the murti mentioned in Kalyanaraman's mail dated 16.3.2006 and cited as: "Two gold idols have been recovered from a pond in Tripura... [...] The idols were found by labourers Wednesday at Bishramganj in west Tripura, about 35 km from here. One of the idols is a nine-inch Buddha flanked by two dancing girls ..." then the description is defintely wrong. There are no dancing girls at all (could have been Maras daughters, but they are obviously not...). On the left there is a female holding some items of devotion and on the right there is a male person, could possibly be a vajrapani. And one more question: Is the material of the murti really gold as mentioned in the first report? I'm not really sure from the photograph...
